 | New adult patients are seen independently of the NHS on a fee-per-item basis. You may also register onto our own membership plan, a method of budgeting for routine examinations and hygienist visits which also offers a discount for other treatment. We aim to provide you with quality dentistry using modern techniques and materials, in comfortable surroundings. To understand your needs and expectations, we will ask you to complete a questionnaire which covers your medical and dental history.
We will then carry out a thorough examination to assess your oral condition, to include an appraisal of your gum condition. We often also need to take X-rays, and occasionally models of your mouth (impressions) to give us the information to properly plan your treatment.
Any problems that we discover will be explained and options, with costs, given for treatment. Your treatment plan will be put in writing and it is then up to you how you would like to proceed. | | Radiographs (X-rays) help us to look at those parts of your mouth that can not be viewed directly, for example underneath your old fillings and in between the teeth. They also show tartar below the gum line, and loss of bone support for your teeth due to previous gum disease. We use modern equipment with the lowest radiation output that gives sufficient detail on the films, following the current national guidelines for dental radiography. The amount of radiation that you receive from the exposures above is minimised. | | We do not offer free initial consultations, as realistically the cost of this would have to be indirectly added to the subsequent cost of your, or other patients' treatment. Currently, the cost of the initial consultation is £42.00 Radiographs are £7.00 each, most people initially need two.
We see the children of registered patients under NHS arrangements.
